Admission Open English and Foreign Languages University are located in Hyderabad, an Indian city that is more than four hundred years old. Founded in 1958 as the Central Institute of English (CIE), it was renamed the Central Institute of English and Foreign Languages (CIEFL) in 1972 with the addition of three major foreign languages. In 2006 it was given central university status and accordingly came to be called the English and Foreign Languages University.
